COES has heavily invested in enhancement of equipment stock to meet the need of contingency planning along China shoreline in preparation of environmental impact. Oil containment booms and skimmers were supplied from first class domestic and international suppliers including Lamor and QingDao Guang Ming, a famous Chinese environmental technology services enterprise. The QingDao Guang Ming has a spill emergent response specialists team in design and manufacture of almost all of oil spill response equipments, facilities, tools.

OIL CONTAINMENT BOOMS

Booms or oil containment booms are floating devices which may have one or more of the functions in connection with oil spill response on surface of water

     Deflecting oil to prevent that the spilt oil arrive and hits sensitive zones
     Containment of oil for later recovery and collection
     Containment and concentration of oil whilst skimmer operation

Booms are designed and manufactured in many sizes, materials, functions in order to meet the various combat environmental conditions and marketing requirements..

Foam filled or PVC booms and Permanent booms suitable for various working conditions while inflatable booms aim for emergent combating of spill oil accident since they are easy deployment and portability.

COES’s response resources have equipped with light foam booms and heavy duty open sea containment booms as well as inflatable booms. The response team has also conducted a number of successful exercises in boom deployment in the past year 2004-2005
